EXCERPT:
"A pension-fund administrator
who pleaded guilty to wire fraud in a scheme that bilked 15,000
investors out of $11.4 million was sentenced Monday to nearly
five years in prison. Jerry G. Allison, president and majority
owner of Qualified Pensions Inc., was sentenced to 57 months
in prison... and ordered ... to pay $6.6 million in restitution."
OTHER POINTS:
Allison was a third-party
administrator of self-directed individual retirement accounts
from October 1991 to September 1995
Allison "misappropriated
cash that was held within the IRAs in pooled bank money-market
accounts."
